1.     Male Rapists and Female Prisons

The debate over the housing of ‘transwomen’ (i.e., biological males) in female-only prisons has been going on for quite some time. It has become particularly heated, especially when it comes to men who have committed sexual offences being housed alongside women while serving their sentences.

However, it has come to a head this week. In part, this was following the outcry after ‘Isla Bryson’ (former name Adam Graham) was convicted of raping two vulnerable women and remanded into custody at Cornton Vale women’s prison in Stirling. Scotland again…
