1. Waterstones Pushing Ideology
On the 9th February, Waterstones, one of the UK’s largest booksellers, announced its ‘Children’s Book Prize Shortlist 2023’.
There was utter outrage after it was discovered that one of the shortlisted books was ‘My Trans Teen Misadventure’.
This is a book that promotes gender ideology. It downplays the risks of medical transitioning for children and appears to encourage feelings of dysphoria.
One of the most shocking pages from the book is this cartoon diagram, showing a young girl’s body. It labels her breasts as “fatty lumps that need be gone”. Her hips are described as “hips from hell”. In the area where her vagina is, it reads “my imaginary willy”.
